The living room is a lovely light airy room with a window giving views over the valley and its own door to the garden. One of the sofas converts to double bed if there is a crowd in the house. It is also wonderfully snug out of season, with a large wood-burning stove giving masses of heat.
The flat-screen TV has all free to air UK TV channels (including HD as available) and many others including lots of radio. (It is served by the freesat system.) French TV is also available and is now fully digital. There is also a DVD player with a collection of DVDs and CDs for both children and adults. There is a hi-fi which can be fed from all the sources above and also an iPod docking station.
There is a good collection of books as well as numerous maps and guides. You'll also find our own comprehensive notes on the local area, restaurants, sights, nature, walks etc which visitors regularly report as the best they have ever found in a holiday home. There are also find a few board games, packs of cards and so on. Upstairs there are some toys for younger children.
There is a PC in the house for visitor's use (without charge). This is a modern machine, running Windows 7, with a reasonable-sized 19" monitor, and there is also a small laser printer. Broadband internet is supplied by satellite at broadband speeds. Local amenities and attractions are bookmarked.
