The kitchen is right next to the dining room, semi open-plan with it. A long antique country table provides a good work-surface. There is a very well-stocked cupboard full of pots and pans and anything else you might want to cook simple or more elaborate meals. There is a new four-ring gas cooker and a large fridge with a useful separate freezer section above. The food cupboard stays stocked with a range of herbs and spices and usually one or two other non-perishables too. As you can see, we tend to bulk buy local fruit in season.
