The kitchen was entirely new in 2009. There is a separate hob (pictured), and fitted oven and microwave (round the corner to the right in the second picture, facing the not-so-new fridge freezer.) A full size dishwasher is next to the sink. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of pots and pans, sharp knives and other utensils juicers, whizzers and so on, as well as barbecue equipment.
The food cupboard stays stocked with a range of herbs and spices and usually one or two other non-perishables too.
The new layout joins the kitchen rather more with dining area making the whole a rather more social space.
