The downstairs bedroom has a modern double bed with a good mattress. There is also a very fine antique "armoire" (wardrobe), one of several pieces of good furniture we bought with the house.  Behind the curtain next to it, there are more shelves.  The little pot cupboard serving as a bedside table has an art deco light.  

This bedroom has a small en suite bathroom with a modern shower, washbasin and toilet (Behind the white wall on the left of the picture below, the door faces the armoire.)

The bedrooms, like those at the upper level, has good views of the meadow and mountains.  The sun rises at the lowest point of the horizon and - if you are awake early - casts a golden light almost upwards into the room.  The picture below is from early autumn.
